Why a Duvet and Comforter:

Opting for a duvet cover and comforter makes keeping your bed clean a little easier. Because you can slip off the cover for washing as frequently as you like, you can eliminate more allergens and other unwanted hangers-on from interrupting your slumber.

A comforter and duvet cover also lets you control the fluffiness of your bedding. Simply increase the fill power for a fuller cloud of comfort or take it down a notch when you crave a lighter touch.

What to Look for in a Comforter:

There are three essential elements to consider when searching for your comforter soul mate:

  1. Fill power: A higher number indicates a warmer and lighter comforter that traps more air. A lower fill power number will feel heavier while providing similar warmth.
  2. Weight: Do you kick off the covers during the night? Or do you sink into the blankets and stay submerged until the alarm goes off? Weight helps with just that. You will want to calibrate it for your season and sleeping temperature preference.
